Leola Farmer Wilkins passed away peacefully at her home in Social Circle, Georgia, on May 12, 2026, at the age of 96. She was born on December 1, 1929, to the late Stafford (ST) and Edna Farmer of the Pea Ridge Community.
A woman of strong faith, Leola was a longtime and faithful member of St. John Baptist Church in Decatur. She devoted many years of her life to her work as a stylist at Three Sisters Hairdressers in Decatur.
Leola was married to her loving husband, Alvin Wilkins, until his passing in 2009. In December 2013, she married James Harrison. Sharing a mutual love for travel, they spent many days at their home in Winter Haven, FL, and saw many beautiful places in the western United States until his passing in 2019.
In addition to her parents and two beloved husbands, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bob Farmer; sister, Louise Wilkins; dear great-niece, Laurie Adams. Leola had no children of her own, but she deeply loved and considered the children of her sister, Louise, as her own. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Joseph and Micki Wilkins, Jerri Womack, Joan and Woody Sellers, and John and Joy Wilkins; her great-nieces and great-nephew, Robyn, Vicki, Joanna, and Scott; her special caregiver and niece, Melanie Deller; and special caregiver, Carol Locklan.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Leola's life will be held 1 o'clock, Friday, May 22, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Rev. Tommy Dunn and Pastor Stacy Myers officiating and interment following in Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home, from 12-1 PM.

There will not be procession to the cemetery. Attendees may travel on their own and meet at the gravesite following the funeral service.
