Larry Burrell Segers, age 79, of Monticello, died Sunday, July 21, 2019. Born in Lithonia to Hubert and Eudez Segers, he was a graduate of Lithonia High School, class of 1958, and spent many years working for the Department of Transportation for the State of Georgia. Larry enjoyed old cars; collecting and selling coins; traveling; trying out new restaurants; his special dog, Rocky; and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenny Segers. Surviving are his devoted wife of 35 years, Gayle 'Mickey' Segers; sons, Britt Roseberry of Eden, NC and Cole Roseberry of Ballground, GA; sisters, Loretta Goddard of Snellville, GA and Guinn Huffman and her husband, Jack, of Morganton, NC; grandchildren, Makensey, Ashleigh, Alexis, Jon and his wife, Kristen, Jacob and his wife, Ariel; one great granddaughter, Adalynn; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Saturday, July 27, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Larry's memory to the charity of your choice.
