Kristy Michelle Pickard, age 48, of Hampton, died January 28, 2022. Born in Conyers, she was a graduate of Heritage High School. Kristy was a manager of Expedient Logistics. She was a member of The Way of the Cross Baptist Church in McDonough where she loved serving the Lord by working in the nursery and anywhere else she was needed. Kristy had a passion for helping people and would go over and beyond for her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Ricky Jack Staples. Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Darlene and Bill Burdett of Jackson; stepmother, Martha Bullard-Staples, of Lithonia; sons, Nick Hayes and wife, Kacie, of Jesup, William Pickard of Boaz, Alabama and Ryan Pickard and wife, Ashley, of Auburn, Alabama; daughter, Courtney Ward and husband, Robert, of Washington State; brothers, Shane Staples and wife, Shelby, of Panama City, Florida, James Burdett and wife, Erica, of Ridge Springs, SC; and Trevor Burdett of Jackson; grandchildren, Karter, Landry, Savana, Caidyn, and RJ; niece, Charlie-Rae; and other nieces and nephews; ex-husband Alex Pickard and wife, Rachel, and their children, Titus and Scarlett of Hampton. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Friday, February 4, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Bell officiating. Interment will follow at Turner Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening 4-6 pm at the Funeral Home. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the funeral home toward her final expenses.
