Moon, age 55, of Conyers, died August 10, 2016. She was a lifelong resident of Stone Mountain and Conyers and a member of Union Grove Baptist Church of Lithonia. Kim was very passionate about gymnastics, receiving the State Honor of Gymnastics award in the Balance Beam Event. She was a member of DECA, enjoyed playing softball, music, dancing and roller skating. A wonderful beautician, she received the Number One Hairdresser award in Georgia in 1978. A loving daughter, sister, and mother, she was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Ann Cleland Moon. Surviving are her daughter, Jessica Ann Whitley of Macon; father, Charles Moon of Social Circle; sister, Leslie Moon Waites and her husband, Mark, of Jackson; brother, Jason Moon of Social Circle; and niece, Lexie Waites. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Friday, August 12, in the Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Kennedy officiating.
