Kenneth Wayne Maddox, age 68, of Lithonia, Georgia, died April 27, 2024. Born in Atlanta on November 1, 1955, Kenneth was known for his selfless and giving nature. He dedicated his life to caring for others, always putting their needs ahead of his own. His family and friends were the joy of his life, and the bonds he made with them were strong and deep. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Turman Howell Maddox; maternal grandparents, Samuel Benson McCollum & Janie Oneida McCollum; paternal grandparents, John Hessie Maddox & Annie Mae Maddox. Survivors include his loving mother, Era Thelma McCollum Maddox; sister, Barbara Maddox Ownby; nieces Kristen Kelley, Vicki (& Bradley) Byrd, Shannon Branam Brockway; great-nieces, Emma and Hannah Brockway; extended family members, Kella Galboe Skinner, Jeff Brockway, Laura Conrad, Dianne Butcher, Debra & Jake Randels, Brandie Michel, Molly Grace Conrad, Jed Conrad, Ariana Gibson-Rivera, Chloe Campbell, Amber Chandler, Vivian Driscol, Brenda Brown-Chrisman, Darlene Dunn, Tami & David Schonleber and several others. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
