Virginia Katherine Rawlins, age 93, of Stockbridge, died Wednesday, July 31, 2019. Katherine was born in Jacksonville, Florida to Harry and Panola Bennett, and raised in Mill Springs, North Carolina. She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening, visiting the senior center, and spending time at Lake Oconoee with her family at their lake home. Katherine was a very compassionate and giving person who was loved by everyone who knew her. A wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband, Albert Rawlins, of Stockbridge; son, John Harrison of College Park; daughter, Linda Thompson and her husband, Philip, of Stockbridge; granddaughters, Georgia Love and her husband, Dave, of Stockbridge, Vinae Harrison of Fayetteville; great grandchildren, Matthew, Lindsey and Nicholas Love, Nathaniel Harrison . A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Tuesday, August 6, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Mason officiating. Interment will follow at Lenora Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
