Kate S. Adams, age 86, of Covington, formerly of Decatur, died April 20, 2015. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, Kate worked as a clerk for Goodyear and was the pianist for Lakeview Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by husbands, John Paul Cox and William J. Adams; parents, Walter and Annie Myrtle Holley; brothers, Richard Holley, Johnny Holley, and Glenn Holley. Surviving are sons, John E. Cox and wife, Joanne, of Monroe, and Robert Michael Cox and wife, Debbie, of Covington; grandchildren, Devin Corbett and wife, Carrie, Traci Parsons and husband, Mike, Shanna Borders and husband, Eric, and Kristy Corbett; 6 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2 o'clock, Friday, April 24, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia, with Dr. Jim Martin and Herman Fox officiating.
