J.W. Sharp, age 88, of Conyers, died December 5, 2020. He loved his family and was a devoted husband to his wife of 39 years, Annie Jo, and a great father to his son, Mark, never missing a game. His grandsons, Andrew and Conner, were very special to him and he enjoyed showing them special attention. J.W. also loved his church, Way of the Cross Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. Born in Alabama, J.W. was an avid fan of the University of Alabama, watching all of their football games. He enjoyed watching Braves' baseball, cooking catfish and eating pecan pie made by his son's mother-in-law. He worked for many years as a foreman for Waller Drywall company. J.W. was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Jo Sharp. Surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Cecily Sharp of Buford, GA; grandsons, Andrew Sharp and Connor Sharp, both of Buford, GA; and sister, Carolyn Preston of Coco Beach, Florida. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Saturday, December 12, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Conyers, GA. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to service time at the funeral home.
