Joseph James Muncey, Jr., age 92, died August 18, 2024. He was born on September 11, 1931, in Buffalo, N.Y., to the now late Joseph J. Muncey, Sr. and Helen Vetterly Muncey. In addition to his parents, Mr. Muncey was preceded in death by his son, John Matthew; grandson, Danny Driscoll; and brother, Robert Muncey. Survivors include his former spouse, June Skowronek; his five children and their spouses, Joseph J. Muncey, III, & Karen, Donna & Art Driscoll, Margaret Muncey, Mary & Adam Flood, Amy & Jack Clark; sisters, Judy Roberts, Jane Hagn; the mother of his children, Joanne T. Muncey; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Following graduation from Kenmore High School, Mr. Muncey honorably served his country in the United States Navy and later had a very successful career as a Quality Control Engineer for NASA, Rockwell International, Boeing Corporation and others in addition to several government agencies. Mr. Muncey was also a member of Howard Hughes' "Ten Man Team". His work ethic and intelligence enabled him to achieve numerous awards and recognitions in his profession throughout the years.
