Place: Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia Interment: 1 o'clock CT, Wednesday, December 27, 2017 Place: Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Winfield, Alabama Johnnie McDonald New, age 96, of Lithonia, died December 22, 2017. A native of Winfield, Alabama, where she graduated from high school and was a long time employee and retired from Bell South. Johnnie was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lithonia, the Fidelis Sunday School Class and the Young at Heart Senior Citizens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Smokey New, and is survived by several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held, 3 o'clock, Tuesday, December 26, in the Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Dr. Jim Martin and Rev. Bob Lindsay officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The interment will take place 1 o'clock CST, Wednesday, December 27, at Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Winfield, Alabama.
