John W. Snowden, age 78, of Conyers died May 11, 2017. He worked for Container Corporation of America for 40 years before retiring in 2000. John loved spending time with his family and friends, watching his grandsons play baseball and football, and supporting his granddaughters in their life choices. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles J. and Pauline Hood Snowden; brothers, Richard "Dick" Snowden and Charles H. Snowden. Surviving are his daughter, Lori McClure and her husband, Floyd, of Conyers, Tara Moon and her husband, Bobby, of Conyers, and Traci Walden and her husband, Mike, of Covington; grandchildren, Kali and Billy Johnson, Crystal Maddox, Cody Moon, Garrett and Leyland Walden; six great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 4 o'clock Tuesday, May 16, 2017 in the Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 3 - 4 prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in his memory to Bridgeway Hospice, 1041 Thurman Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281.
