John Lee McDonald, age 75, of Conyers, died February 20, 2021. John was born in Atlanta to Lawrence and Essie McDonald. He was a truck driver for Horton Homes for many years. John enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching wrestling on television, vacationing, spending time with his grandchildren, and walking his dog, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffrey McDonald; brothers, Larry, Ernest and Richard McDonald; and sister, Jean Pless. Surviving are his wife, Brenda Smith McDonald of Conyers; daughter, Tammie Conner and her husband, Charles, of Conyers; brother, Tommy McDonald and his wife, Beverly, of Oxford; sister, Nancy Quinn of Eatonton; 3 grandchildren, Bennie, Brian and Brittany; 3 great-grandchildren, Elijah, London and Isabella; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for John and Brenda will be held 2 o'clock, Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Community Baptist Church in Ellenwood with Rev. Josh Conner officiating.
