Doug Martin, age 79, of Ellenwood, Georgia, met our Lord & Savior Friday evening, March 29, 2024. He married on February 11, 1979, and lived happily with Wanda Dalrymple for 44 years. He was a faithful member of The Ole' Country Church for 18 years. Doug retired from Dodson Steel Products in Ellenwood, GA, and Henry County Water Authority in McDonough, GA. Preceding him in death were his parents, Vernon Martin & Betty Martin. Survivors include his loving wife, Wanda; sister, Camille Dacus Higgins of High Point, NC; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 3 o'clock, Saturday, April 13, 2024, at the Ole' Country Church, 2649 Hwy. 155 N, McDonough, GA 30252, with Pastor Roger Bilbrey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Those desiring may make contributions in his memory to The Ole' Country Church. Doug was one of the last southern gentleman. Strong in his faith, he was so generous and a blessing to all who knew him. The family is amazed, grateful and thankful for the abundance and outpouring of concern and prayers.
