John Wilburn Anderson, Jr., "Johnny", age 55, of Conyers, Georgia, died November 17, 2024. Despite an accident that left him disabled at age 24, Johnny found joy in fishing, visiting the lake, and cheering on his beloved Atlanta Braves. He possessed a unique ability to bring laughter and lightheartedness to any situation, often playfully aggravating his great-nieces and great-nephews who were deeply special to him. He will be remembered as a treasured son, brother and uncle.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father, John W. Anderson, Sr., and is survived by his mother, Diane Warbington Anderson; siblings and their spouses, Tammy & Randy Carden, Pam Anderson, Tara Watson, Camie & Clent Harris, Josh & Angelica Anderson; nieces and their spouses, Sonya & Steven Horton, Erika & Andrew Miller, Stephanie Kramer; nephews and their spouses, Baylee & Lindsey Watson, Brant & Morgan Watson, Briley Watson; many great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family.
A funeral service will be held 1 o'clock, Friday, November 22, 2024, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, 6833 Church Street, Lithonia, with Rev. Bill Stafford officiating and interment following in East Lithonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 21, from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted, or contributions in his memory may be made to Friends of Disabled Adults & Children, fodac.org.
