Service: 2 o'clock, Wednesday, August 2, 2017 Place: Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home Visitation: 2 -4 and 6 - 8, Tuesday afternoon Place: Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia John W. Anderson, Sr., age 76, of Conyers died July 30, 2017. John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved to deer hunt and was very proud of his grandchildren. John was a Foreman for Hanson Rock Quarry for 35 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Lilly Anderson, five brothers, and one sister. Surviving are his wife of 56 1/2 years, Diane Anderson; daughters, Tammy Carden and her husband, Randy, of Covington, Pam Gonzalez of Eatonton, and Tara Watson and her husband, Franklin, of Rutledge; son, Johnny Anderson of Conyers; grandchildren, Sonya Horton, Camie Harris, Joshua Anderson, Erika Miller, Stephanie Kramer, Brant Watson, Baylee Watson, and Briley Watson; 10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock Wednesday, August 2, at the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Stafford officiating. Interment will follow at East Lithonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 Tuesday evening at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia.
