Joel Lee Abbott, age 64 of Conyers, died June 18, 2022. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Joseph Arthur and Ollie Jean Abbott, he was a graduate of Rockdale High School, class of '77. Joey was a warehouse foreman for Lehigh Technologies. He loved music and was in a band in his younger days; enjoyed cars; camping; wood working; and fishing. Joey was 'a dreamer' always thinking of ways to improve his own life as well as others. He had an infectious laugh, making others laugh along with him. He was a lover of animals, especially his pets, Ebbie and Pretty Girl. Joey: was preceded in death by his mother, Ollie Jean Abbott. Surviving are: his son, Brent Abbott and his wife, Kimberly, of Conyers; grandchildren, Braiden, Devon, Elena, and Mazon; father, Joseph Arthur Abbott; sister, Vicky Crowe and her husband, Mike, of Conyers; brothers, Alan Abbott and his wife, Sharon, and Mike Abbott and his wife, Linda, all of Conyers: nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 10 o'clock, Tuesday, June 21st, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Philadelphia Baptist Cemetery.
