Joan White

Joan Cawthon White, age 64, of Conyers, Georgia, died June 16, 2024. She was born December 6, 1959, to the late Jack and Ardith Cawthon. A lover of Scrabble, puzzles, and bird watching, Joan had a knack for joking and making people laugh. Her love for family was unparalleled. She adored her girls and would do anything for them. Spending time with her grandchildren who affectionately called her "Nana" brought immense joy to her life. She also raised many children who were not her own biologically, leaving an indelible mark on their lives with her love and guidance. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Debra Cawthon. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Carmen (Joshua Adams) White, Marlena (Alan Merritt) White; sister, Diane Cawthon; grandchildren, Alora Adams, Aiden Adams; as well as many cousins, extended family and many family friends. A memorial visitation for Joan will be held Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 4-6 PM, at Henry Funeral Home, 6833 Church St., Lithonia, GA.
