Jo Ann Leverett McMichael, age 77, of Hampton, died June Tuesday, June 11, 2019. Born in Lithonia, GA to the late Hulon Leverett and Berta Jenkins Leverett. She graduated from Lithonia High School in 1960. Jo Ann retired from Bell South after over 30 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald (Gerry) McMichael; brothers, William Barnett Leverett and his wife, Barbara Ann; Marvin Carnell Leverett and his wife, Deloris; Idus Paul (Tunch) Leverett and his wife, Barbara Ruth. Surviving are her loving dog, Pebbles and her nieces and nephews, Bonnie Leverett Heptinstall of Powder Springs, GA; Joy Leverett Wilkins and her husband, John, of Stockbridge, GA; Sherryl Leverett and and her friend, Bill, of Atlanta, GA; Derryl Leverett and his wife, Suzanne, of Loganville, GA; Lynn Leverett Ragsdale and her husband, Ricky, of Conyers, GA; Todd Leverett and his wife, Ashley, of Ormand Beach, FL; great and great- great nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Patricia Leverett. Services will be announced later.
