Jimmy A. Dooley, age 77, of Covington, died May 22, 2021. Born in Atlanta, he retired after 30 years of service with Technicarbon Paper Company, as Building Supervisor. He was a member of Christ Cornerstone Church in Covington. Jimmy loved fishing and hunting and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Barbara; son, Tony Dooley and his wife, Tina, of Monticello; daughters, Shannon Purcell and her husband, Mike, of Eatonton, Kim Dooley of Covington, Margie Ensley and her husband, Charlie, of McDonough; sisters, Shirley Trantham and her husband Lamar, of Conyers, Edna Ledford and her husband, George, of Tucker; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 1 o'clock Tuesday May 25, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Payne and Rev. Chris Walden officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery, Stone Mountain. Family will receive friends from 11 o'clock until 1 o'clock prior to the service at the funeral home.
