Jerry Wayne Ellington, age 68, of Conyers, died August 6, 2020. Born to Robert and Lucille Ellington, he spent most of his life in Rockdale County where he was a graduate of Rockdale County High School, class of 1970. Jerry worked for over 30 years for Kraft Foods and retired from Greif Bros. as a forklift driver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, racing, and most of all spending time with his family. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, of 48 years, Mary Crawley Ellington; sons, Jerald Ellington of Oxford, David Ellington of Oxford and Matt Ellington and his wife, Sarah, of Conyers; sister, Diane Crawley and her husband, Jim, of Conyers; and one granddaughter, Scarlett. A graveside service will be held at 10 o'clock, Monday, August 10, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Conyers, with Bro. Eric Lee officiating. The family will receive friends 3-5, Sunday afternoon at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia.
