Service: 4 o'clock, Sunday, July 9, 2017 Place: Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home Visitation: 2:30 - 4:00 Prior to the Service Place: Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia Jere "Pops" Power, age 83, of Stone Mountain died July 6, 2017. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Jere was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Gertrude Power. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Ellen Power; sons, Gary Power and his wife, Becky, of Loganville, and Tim Power and his wife, Cindy, of Snellville; sister, Faye Power of Suwanee; brothers, Emory Power of Tucker, and Danny Power and his wife, Beverly, of Flowery Branch; grandchildren, Briel, Reed, Masyn and Allison; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 4 o'clock Sunday, July 9 at the Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Hillandale Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 2:30 - 4:00 prior to the service.
