Jeannette B. Thompson, age 81, of Conyers, died January 30, 2015. She retired from Smith Hardware in Decatur after over 30 years of service, and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church and was known for her wonderful cake baking. A loving mother, and grandmother, she was preceded in death by her husband, J P Thompson, and brother, Jack Batchelor. Surviving are daughters, Sherry Barron of Conyers, Susan Durden and her husband, Jeff, of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; son, Allen Thompson of McDonough; grandchildren, Shelley, Amanda, Blake, and Brooke; and five great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Monday, February 2, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Hughes and Dr. Jim Martin officiating.
