Jay Connell Sager, 89, of Snellville, died March 4, 2020. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Mr. Sager was a proud U. S. Army veteran, having served our nation during the war in Korea. He served his community for many years as Mayor and City Council member of Snellville. Mr. Sager's working career consisted of 45 years of devoted service to the CDC in Atlanta and Lawrenceville, retiring as Director of Maintenance. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy Jean Sager; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Kathy Sager, Bill and Linda Sager, Terry and Susan Sager; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Helen and Kenneth Bailey; brother and sister-in-law, John and Meredith Sager; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 3 o'clock, Sunday, March 8, 2020, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Rev. Greg McMinn and Pastor Brent Ross officiating. Burial, with military honors, will follow at Hillandale Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 4-6 Saturday afternoon at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia.
