Janice Lorene Wood Gunter, age 65, of Conyers, passed away April 26, 2023. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, to Don and Annette Wood, she attended Towers High School. Janice worked at Northern Telecom, Century 21, Olan Mills, and All About Kids Day Care Center. She loved antiquing; breeding poodles; going to yard sales; boat riding and being with her family at the lake; but most of all she enjoyed working in her yard. Janice was also an active member of Rockdale Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Donna Bangs; nephew, Tommy Snyder; Nannie, Lorene Slate; and her grandfather, Pa Pa White. Surviving are her daughter, Jennifer Gunter and her boyfriend, Michael Johnson; sisters, Debra Wood of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, Wanda Snyder and her husband, Tom, of Grayson, GA, Darlene Wood and partner, Andi, and Brenda Moss and her husband, Keith, of Monticello, GA; Aunt Pat Land of Conyers, GA; nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be held 12:30 o'clock, Monday, May 1, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Dr. Billy Moss officiating. The interment will follow at Hillandale Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 11:30 - 12:30 prior to the service at the funeral home.
