It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Janah Gail Spencer, 63, of Cumming, Georgia, on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. She was born on September 18, 1961, in Charleston, South Carolina.
Known for her love and acceptance of everyone, Janah was a beacon of kindness who never met a stranger. She would take home any stray animal on the street and love them as her own. A creative and vibrant soul, her color spilled into anybody's world she encountered. In 1983, Janah met her husband Gilberto Spencer, and together they built their life having two treasured sons, Keith and Ross. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and friend.
Janah was predeceased by her parents, Shirley Stewart and James Watkins. She is survived by her husband, Gilberto; her two sons, Keith and Ross (Liz); her grandson, Everett; and her three siblings, Cherie, Todd and Angela. She leaves behind a legacy of joy, life lessons, and cherished memories.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Janah's life will be held Monday, August 11, at Midway Community Church, Alpharetta. The family welcomes visitors one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10 AM on Monday. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), nationalbreastcancer.org.
In closing, we invite everyone whose life was touched by Janah to share their memories, photos and thoughts on her memorial page. She has left a lasting legacy of love in our hearts, and we look forward to celebrating her life and sharing the beautiful memories we hold dear.
