James Edward "Jim" Tramel, III, age 77, of Lilburn, Georgia, died August 31, 2025. He was born on June 15, 1948, in Batesville, Mississippi, to the now late James Edward "Doc" Tramel, Jr., and Lorraine Sorrells Tramel. A successful lawyer, Jim was a man of integrity who dedicated his life to truth and justice, advising and advocating for others. He found strength in his Christian faith, and this faith guided his life and career. Jim was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, and in his leisure time enjoyed playing pool. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Judy & Ken Conner, and their daughters, Julie and Jenny. Survivors include his children, Emily Tramel, James Tramel, Erik Tramel, Christopher Tramel; and granddaughter, Jadyn Fain. A funeral service to honor Jim's life will be held 12 o'clock CST, Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Batesville, MS, with interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. CST. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to Shady Grove Baptist Church, 1638 Shady Grove Road, Batesville, MS 38606.
