James Rickey "Rick" Heflin, age 58, of Social Circle, died November 15, 2016. James retired as the Director of the Foundation for Paranormal Research. A loving husband, father, and grandfather, he will be missed dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Russell and Sybil Heflin. Surviving are his wife of 7 years, Janet L. Heflin; daughters, Elizabeth Crowley and her husband, Dennis, of Gulf Port, MS and Artie Breaux and her husband, Joey, of Holdrege, NE; sons, Russell Heflin and his wife, Kim, of Loganville, Joe Heflin of Gulf Port, MS, Chad Jeffrey and his wife, Alice, of Social Circle, and Curtis Jeffrey and his wife, Carrie Ann, of Gulf Port, MS; sister, Renita Osburn and her husband, Steve, of Gulf Port, MS; brother, Dennis Chesler of Jackson, MS; 15 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. A Life Celebration will held at Rick's residence beginning at 12 o'clock on Saturday, November 19.
