James Wesley Harrison, age 87, of Social Circle, died Thursday, February 28, 2019. He loved his family, his church and loved to travel. James was a Heavy Equipment Operator and member of Local IUOE 926, and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Gertrude Harrison; and brother, John Harrison. Surviving are his wife, Leola Wilkins Harrison; step-daughter, Fay Christopher and her husband, John, of Dawsonville; step-sons, Bill Pulliam and his wife, Heidi, of Polson Montana, and Tony Watts of Griffin; 7 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Sunday, March 3, at St. John Baptist Church, 4948 Wilkins Road, Decatur, GA 30035, with Rev. Tommy Dunn officiating. Interment will follow at East Lawn Cemetery in McDonough. The family will receive friends from 3-5 Saturday afternoon at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia.
