His special friend, Rachel, was by his side. J.B. was born on December 22, 1953, his father's birthday, in Hamlet, N.C. The family moved a lot, but settled in Charleston, SC, where he grew up. He was a devoted father and grandfather and dedicated to his entire family. J.B. had a passion for life like no other and a very unique outlook on life. He looked at everything as either a learning or teaching lesson. Many have grown from his intellect and wisdom. An avid woodworker and painter, he could be found in his shed creating a masterpiece in his free time, each being better than the last. J.B. was a passionate Christian that later in life became an ordained minister, and served his late mother's home state of Kentucky, where he was bestowed the prestigious title of "Kentucky Colonel" by the governor of Kentucky. He was a Studebaker enthusiast and customized his dream car, a 1953 Starlight, from the ground up. J.B. was an entrepreneur, published author and webmaster. In his later years he enjoyed his scifi movies, different types of music, and sitting outside to enjoy nature on a beautiful day. Although his time on earth is over, he made an impact on everyone that met him. J.B. will be forever missed but never forgotten.
