Marshall Granade, age 78 of Lithonia, died September 16, 2022. Born in Rockdale County to Mary Frances Underwood and James Thomas Granade, he was a graduate of Rockdale County High School, and afterwards was in the Army Reserves. For 28 years, Marshall was a sales representative for Madison Industries, and then became the general manager for Finish Line Doors in 1990. After his retirement, he worked for Henry Funeral Home where he was a faithful employee for many years. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan and was a member and treasurer of the Rockdale County Bulldog Club. He loved antique tractors and restored his daddy's tractor and enjoyed antique tractor shows. He loved to hunt and fish and play softball and golf. Marshall was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Tommy Granade. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ann Kelley Granade, of Lithonia; sister, Mary Helen Granade Dailey and her husband, Grover, of Conyers; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Thursday, September 22, 2022, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Wadley and Rev. Nelson Goddard officiating. Interment will follow at Granade Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
