A loving brother and uncle, he enjoyed watching NASCAR races and spending time with his family. Horace was preceded in death by his parents, Hoke and Clara Covington and wife, Alice Covington. Surviving are his sisters, Carolyn Covington of Jefferson and Janice Massey and her husband, Jerold, of Jefferson; brother, Buster Covington and his wife, Joyce, of Jefferson; special nephews, Tim Power and his wife, Cindy, of Snellville, and Gary Power and his wife, Becky, of Loganville; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 12 o'clock on Saturday, January 16, at Hillandale Memorial Park in Lithonia.
