Henry Walton "Buddy" Walters, Jr., age 79, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, formerly of Conyers, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Born on October 13, 1944, Buddy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. Buddy grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and graduated from Roosevelt High School and North Georgia Technical College and served in the Army Reserve. After a successful career of 36 Years at Georgia Power Company, he retired in 2002. Buddy loved the Lord with all his heart and was an active member of Lithonia First United Methodist Church for over 40 years where he faithfully served in many aspects of the church. Outside of family and church, you could always find him on one of his tractors or riding mowers happy to work outside or in his garage building, creating, and fixing anything. Buddy had a servant heart and loved to help his family, church, friends, and others. He was a loving husband and father, and he adored his grandchildren. Buddy is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and June Walters. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 58 years, Diane Dyer Walters; his children Pamela Church and her husband Jeff; Paula Anderson and her husband Bill; Mark Walters and his wife Debbie. He was an amazing Grandaddy/Danna/GDaddy to his eight grandchildren: Blake, Paden, Audrey, Anna, Davis, Caroline, Etta, and Archie. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn Ballew and her husband Eddie. He was dearly loved by so many and will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. at Lithonia First United Methodist Church, 3099 Stone Mountain Street, Lithonia, Georgia 30058 with Rev.
