Helen Elizabeth Malcom, age 65, of Conyers, Georgia, died June 4, 2024. Born in Austell on November 14, 1958, Helen was a woman who touched the hearts of many. She was a fun-loving, hardworking and determined individual known for her gift of making friends out of strangers. Helen valued her faith and loved sharing it with everyone she met.
Despite her health challenges in recent years, Helen lived life to the fullest, her faith never wavering. Her unique sense of humor, along with her nonjudgmental nature, made her a beacon of joy in the lives of those around her. She was an animal lover, a caring mom, and an adored "Grammy". Helen was a dedicated member of the Community Church of Praise in Stockbridge and never missed an opportunity to tell people about Jesus.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Roy Elsner and Katherine Coursey Elsner; and the father of her children, Jimmy Malcom. Survivors include her children, Dawn (Chad) Gilpin, Travis Malcom, Jeremy Malcom, Crystal Malcom; sister, Alice Bell; brother, Broudis Elsner; cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Madison, Bentley, Rhemi, Farren, Talon; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A funeral service will be held 12 o'clock, Noon, Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Sharon Baptist Church, 5690 S. Sharon Church Rd., Loganville, with Pastor Ken Smith officiating and interment following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Tuesday, June 11, at Henry Funeral Home, 6833 Church St., Lithonia, GA 30058.
