Helen Green

Helen Thomas Green, lifelong resident of Milstead, Georgia, died October 5, 2024, at the age of 91. A woman of deep faith, Helen was a member of The Potter's House in Covington. Her love for God was manifested in her acts of selfless service to the church where she taught Sunday School and volunteered her time in countless ways at The Church of Jesus Christ in Milstead. Her most cherished role, however, was that of a caretaker for her family who meant the world to her. She found joy in preparing meals for others, adding a dash of love to each dish she cooked. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Lullie Thomas; all 12 of her brothers & sisters; and her husband, T.O. Green. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth & Lynn Green, Terry & Sarita Green; grandchildren, Johnny & Lara Green, Tyson & Jessica Green, Mitzi & Jesse Johnson, Amber & Cory Mays; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; a great-great-granddaughter on the way; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia with Pastor Brent Lewis officiating and interment following in Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 AM.
