Grady B. Williams, age 82, of Lithonia, died March 3, 2021. He was born to Tom and Norma Williams, in Altha, Florida, where he spent his early years and was a graduate of Altha High School. Grady served his country honorably in the United States Army. He began refinishing and restoring clocks and furniture at an early age and this became his livelihood as he grew older. Grady also worked for the Ford Motor Company for 12 years and for about 8 years worked in construction. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Lithonia, where served as a greeter and usher for over 40 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Sam and Donnie Williams; and sister, Maxine Dykes. Surviving are his loving wife of 59 years, Armenia Williams, of Lithonia; son, John O. Williams and his wife, Michele, of Peachtree Corners; daughter, Teresa Benamy of Clarkston; granddaughters, Caitlin, Cora and Allise; several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Saturday, March 6, at the First Baptist Church of Lithonia with Rev. Bob Lindsay and Dr. Jim Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Benevolence Fund of the First Baptist Church of Lithonia, P.O. Box 378, Lithonia, GA 30058, which was special to Grady.
