Service: 10:30 o'clock, Tuesday, July 17. 2018 Place: Chapel of Henry Funeral Home Visitation: 5-7 Monday evening, July 16, 2018 Place: Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia Gloria Slaughter Blankenship, age 78, of Conyers, died Sunday, July 15, 2018. She was born in Rockdale County, GA to Robert and Mattie Mae Slaughter; graduated from Rockdale County High School class of 1957; and a member of Conyers First United Methodist Church. Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Blankenship, and infant son, Jimmy Blankenship, Jr. Surviving are her daughter, Lisa Potts, and her husband, Charles, of Oxford, GA; granddaughter, Megan Claire Potts of Oxford, GA; and sister, Vaniece Johnson of Lillington, NC. A funeral service will be held 10:30 o'clock, Tuesday, July 17, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. Interment will follow at East View Cemetery, Conyers. The family will receive friends 5-7, Monday evening at Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia.
