Glennis Faye Swann, age 89, of Conyers, entered Heaven on November 12, 2025. Glennis was born on February 22, 1936, in Cullman, Alabama, to Boyd and Ruby Dyer. In 1958, she met and married the love of her life, Charley Doss Swann, and together they made their home in Georgia. They were married for 62 years until Charley's passing in 2021. Glennis loved her Savior and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Together, Glennis and Charley built a loving family — one daughter, Janet Thorne (Leonard), and one son, Chris Swann. Their pride and joy were their five grandchildren: Leonard Thorne III (Tara) of Carrollton, GA; Charley Thorne (Lisa) of Idaho Falls, ID; James Thorne (Brittny) of Loganville, GA; Sadie Swann and Joel Swann of Bishop, GA. They were also blessed with ten great-grandchildren: Owen, Elliot, Lily, Emily, Wesley, Ellasyn, Lucas, Adeline, Noah, and Elizabeth. In addition to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Glennis is survived by her brother, Floyd Dyer (Mary), and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service to honor Glennis' life will be held at 2 o'clock, Friday, November 14, 2025, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 1233 Pleasant Hill Rd. NW, Conyers, with Rev. Scott Richardson officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in the church cemetery. Her grandsons, great-grandsons, and James Owens will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 13, from 4-7 PM, at Henry Funeral Home, 6833 Church Street, Lithonia, and on Friday, one hour prior to the service at the church.
