Gilbert Radovich, age 82, of Decatur, passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, February 18, 2017. He was born November 19, 1934, in Aliquippa, PA to the late Dorothy Luketitch and Joseph Radovich. Mr. Radovich graduated from Bass High School where he played football, later played for the University of Miami and Northeast Mississippi, and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. In 1990, Mr. Radovich retired as a Lieutenant after 30 years of service with the DeKalb County Police Department. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Bob Radovich. Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Marilyn Radovich; son, Jeff Radovich; grandchildren, Grace Radovich and Joe Radovich; 3 nieces; 1 nephew; 5 great nieces; and 3 great nephews. A service will be held 1 o'clock, Friday, February 24, 2017, in the Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
