George William Banks, 65, of Conyers, GA, husband of Carol Elizabeth Banks for 44 years, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017. Born November 29, 1952, he was the son of the late Ralph and Elsie Banks. George was a lifelong resident of Rockdale County, where he would stay to become a loving husband and father. George was unconditionally dedicated to his family, which was the joy of his life. George leaves behind a daughter and three sons; Lois Banks, Alan Banks of Toccoa, GA, Rex Banks and wife Kelly of Monroe, Ga, and Russ Banks and wife Kayla of Walnut Grove, GA. He leaves behind eight grandchildren, Jason and Amanda Buice, Liam, Patrick, and Bennett Banks, and Corbin, Lyla and Emersyn Banks. He also leaves a brother, Neal Banks, and many nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held 3-8, Friday evening, December 8, 2017 at Henry Funeral Home in Lithonia, GA . Memorial services will be held 11 o'clock, Saturday morning, December 9, 2017, at Ozora Baptist Church in Loganville, GA.
