Fredrick Leon Hill, Jr., age 79, of Newborn, died January 17, 2023, at his residence. Born and raised in Lithonia, Georgia to Emma Nell Reagin and Fredrick Hill, Sr. , he was a graduate of Lithonia High School, class of 1961. Freddie was a smart and witty man who started and ran his own business, Suburban Paving. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing cards. Freddy enjoyed working, and in his later life, worked with his son, Jonathan, where even as late as last week, was running the asphalt roller. He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Linda E. Hill. Surviving are his sons, Jonathan Wesley Hill and his wife, Toni, of Covington, Jason Howard Hill of Newborn, Robert Ray True and his wife, Tracy, of Adairsville; daughters, Kimberly Leona Epps and her husband, Christopher, of Toccoa and Tracy Bloom and her husband, Donald, of Covington; brothers, Andrew Jones Hill of Lithonia and Thomas Anthony Hill of Covington; sisters, Nancy Catherine Barandon of Tampa, Florida and Nelda Hill Champagne and her husband, Andre' of Hampton; grandchildren, Johnny Epps, Emma Epps, David True, Tristen Hill, Angelina Hill, Ella Hill, and Sadie Hill. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Tuesday, January 24, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Wadely officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Monday evening and one hour prior to the service at Henry Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made in his memory. Following the service, family and friends are invited to gather at Rockland United Methodist Church, for food and fellowship.
