Wade, age 97, of Stone Mountain, died October 22, 2017. She was a native of Lithonia and long time resident of Stone Mountain. Florene was a graduate of Stone Mountain High School, Class of 1937. Florene was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Stone Mountain for 66 years. She worked at Sears & Roebuck and retired after 20 years of service. Florene was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dan Wade; parents, William (Bill) and Florence Wiggins; brothers, Andrew Wiggins and Harold Wiggins; and sister, Ethel Bennett. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Joe Moon of Covington; sister, Mary Grace King of Lithonia; grandchildren, Jeff Moon and his wife, Kim Moon; Lisa Moon Jeske and fiance Ashley Hamby; great grandchildren, Jessica Moon, Victoria Jeske, Dustin Moon and Caitlin Jeske; numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 1:30 o'clock, Thursday, October 26 in the Lithonia Chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Chaplain Steve Aldridge officiating. Interment will follow at Melwood Cemetery, 5170 E. Ponce de Leon, Stone Mountain. The family will receive friends from noon until service time.
