Service: 11 o'clock, Friday, August 10, 2018 Place: Chapel of Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia Visitation: 5-7, Thursday Evening Place: Henry Funeral Home, Lithonia Evelyn Louise Mayhue of Lithonia, died Monday, August 6, 2018, age...well, as Evelyn used to say, "Age is just a number, and mine's unlisted!" She enjoyed people, which was evident in the way she greeted others with her engaging smile. Her favorite pastimes were gardening, reading, riding motorcycles, and especially her family. Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving -husband of 67 years, Clarence Mayhue; parents, Frank and Lille Edge; daughters, Debra Mayhue and Glenda Mayhue. Surviving are her daughters, Linda Faith and her husband, James, of Conyers and Brenda Ford and her husband, Harvey of Conyers; sons, Barry E. Mayhue and his wife, Linda, of Conyers and John C. Mayhue and his wife, Miyoshi, of Loganville; brothers, Frank Edge of Philadelphia, PA, and Bradley Edge of Loganville; sisters-in-law, Alice Edge and Faye Edge; grandchildren, Laura Faith, Steven Faith, Jeffrey Faith, Richard Ford, Tracey Wood, Ben Mayhue, and Jalen Mayhue; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held 11 o'clock, Friday, August 10, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Rev. Tim Chupp, Rev. Steve King and Dr. Jim Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Turner Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-7, Thursday evening at the funeral home.
