Evelyn Louise Jackson, age 85, of Lithonia, formerly of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, died December 5, 2020. Born in Natchez, Mississippi, Evelyn graduated from Jackson State University with a BS in Education and Pearl River College where she obtained a degree in Nursing. She worked for many years as a nurse for Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. Evelyn enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading, and most of all spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her sons, Darren Jackson and Darryl Cooley; daughter, Marilyn Jackson; brother, Anthony Jackson; and sister, Janice Jackson. Surviving are her sons, Mark Jackson of Lithonia and Kent Jackson of Stone Mountain; daughters, Kim Debrossard of Lithonia, Susan Jackson of Loganville and Sharon Lucas of Princeton, NJ; half-brother, Luther Jackson of Bentonia, Mississippi; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Saturday, December 12, at Legacy Funeral Home in Hattiesburg, Mississippi
