Eric John Mitchell, age 32 of Covington, died June 22, 2022. Born in Atlanta to Mike and Lisa Mitchell, he grew up in Covington and attended Alcovy High School. Eric was a true outdoorsman. Fishing (especially trout fishing) and hunting were his favorite past times. He also enjoyed camping, riding dirt bikes and four wheelers. Eric was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Sybil Lowe. Surviving are his parents, Mike and Lisa Mitchell of Covington; sister, Mindy Wilkerson and her husband, Kyle, of Covington; brother, Chad Mitchell and his wife, Katie, of Covington; paternal grandparents, John and Peggy Mitchell of Monroe; many nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins. A memorial service will be held 11 o'clock, Saturday, July 2nd, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home, with Rev. Nelson Goddard officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
