Emma Landress

Emma Elizabeth Landress, age 84, of Social Circle died Monday, October 27, 2014. A 25 year resident of Social Circle, Emma enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and cooking. She was preceded in death by parents, Raymond and Alice Smith; and sister Ruby Mitchell. Surviving are husband David Landress; sons James Lackey, Jr. and wife Sue, and Ricky Smith; daughters Carolyn Stapp of Covington, Jane Landress Mitchell of Conyers, and June Landress Knapp and husband Michael of Monroe; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 12 o'clock in the chapel of First Baptist Church of Social Circle, with Rev. Hulon Knight officiating.
