After Tom's death in 1974 she conceived and developed the Yellow Brick House Senior Living and Academy Offices in Lithonia. She traveled extensively for golf and leisure with friends and family to Ireland, Germany, Italy, Greece, Australia, South Africa, Chile, and Argentina. She won golf tournaments, had a hole-in-one on Mother's Day and enjoyed her golfing buddies. In her lifetime she was a seamstress, artist, doll maker, china painter, gardener, card player, handyman and life-long learner. She loved her family, grandchildren and newest great grandchildren.
