Donice Melvin Nicholson, age 82, of McDonough, died December 20, 2021. He was born February 11, 1939, to Melvin and Beatrice Nicholson. Donice grew up in the Wesley Chapel area of DeKalb County. He owned and operated Nicholson's Wrecker Service and Used Auto Parts. Donice was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Nicholson; parents; brothers, Jerry Nicholson, Charles Nicholson, Donald Nicholson, Jimmy Nicholson, and Michael Nicholson; and sister, Elaine McCullough. Surviving are his sons, Donnie Nicholson and his wife, Sheila, of Shadydale and David Nicholson of Atlanta; daughters, Holly Watson and her husband, Scott, of Conyers and Mary Ann Brothers and her husband, Vince, of Lavonia; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sisters; Annette Ledbetter and her husband, Paul, of Jackson, and Peggy McCullough of Lithonia; nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Thursday, December 23, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm prior to service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make donations toward Donice's final expenses.
