Deborah Ruth Mills of Jackson, Georgia, previously of Newnan, died Sunday, October 2, 2022. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She instilled in her grandchildren character and a belief in her savior, Jesus Christ. Deborah attended Royal Baptist Church for many years, where she enjoyed singing in the church choir, until she was physically unable. She was known for her quirky little smile that she always had regardless of her circumstances. Deborah was loved by all who knew her. Some of her favorite things were "Baby Ruth Bars"," Candy Circus Peanuts" and an ice-cold coca cola, which she enjoyed while working 'Word Search puzzles' and watching the Life Time network. But she especially enjoyed receiving hugs and "suga" from her grandkids and great grandkids. Deborah was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Ernest; her parents, William and Ora Morgan; and sister, Pam. Surviving are her daughters, Donna Mills and her husband, Mark McKenzie, of Commerce and Vickie Mills Walker and her husband, Robert , of Jackson; sisters, Geraldine, Patricia, Linda, and Sandra; grandchildren, Ashley Dalton and her husband, Jonathan, Tabitha Popphan and her husband, Chris, Wesley Wooten, and his fiance, Kayla Lewis, Braelyn Ellis, Gage Ellis, Ivey Davis, Jaxson Summerour, Whitney Walker, and Ashlynn Walker; great grandchildren, Abigayle, Brody, Carson, Carter, Fisher, Sawyer, Sophia, and Christian; former sons-in-law, Blake Davis and Lee Summerour. A funeral service will be held 2 o'clock, Tuesday, October 11, 2022, in the chapel of Henry Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Martin officiating. Interment will follow at Hillandale Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
