Otis David Burroughs, Jr., age 78, of Cleveland, formerly of Lithonia, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021. David was born in Lithonia, Georgia, to the late Otis David Burroughs, Sr. and Mary Edna Brooks. He was a telephone engineer for Southern Bell and a member of Cleveland First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Marcia Potts Burroughs of Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law, Shanda Burroughs Bartlett and her husband, Steve; daughter, Ashely Burroughs Besaw; son, Damon R. Burroughs; grandchildren, Britton Bartlett and Bryson Bartlett; brother, Barry Burroughs; and a niece and nephews. A memorial service will be held 2 o'clock, Saturday September 11, in the chapel of Barrett Funeral Home with Dr. Jim Martin and Rev. Dennis Turner officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 - 2 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Smithgall Woods Humane Society: P.O.
