David Selwin Bhasker, age 63, died Wednesday, March 25, 2020. He received a BA degree in Journalism and was a systems manager at the Deccan Herald Newspaper in Bangalore, Karnataka, for 29 years. Selwin was a hard worker; kind hearted; always helpful to others; sacrificial in his love for his daughters and wife; supported his wife in all of her mission work; and was a spiritual man who loved God. He enjoyed cooking, listening to music and playing with his grandson. Two years ago, Selwin had a stroke and later had another, but he never gave up his battle to live. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel David and Juliet Saraswathi; and brother, Jayakar David. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Christina Selwin Bhasker; daughters, Shalom Bhasker and her husband, Quin'Dariuse Johnson, of Birmingham, AL. and Sharon Bhasker and her husband, Trenton Kuntz, of Lithonia; brothers, Kirbakar David and Thilakar David both of Bangalore, India; and grandson, Joel Johnson. His remains have been cremated and his service will be private.
